Picture of Halloween Advent Calendar on KSLI think it is crazy to think that Halloween is only a few weeks away. I am also really excited because 4 of the 6 members of my family have birthdays in October! It makes for a month-long celebration.
With only three weeks left until Halloween, I think it would be great to have a 21 day countdown to Halloween (a homemade Halloween Advent Calendar) and make it fun. You could make it simple with 21 papers cut up into a glass jar. They can draw one out everyday and see what it says. Make it fun (treats, make cookies, go to the park, play a game, go out to eat, etc)
If you are handy with a sewing machine you could sew squares onto a larger square and make them into pockets and stuff them with treats and treasures for your kids to find. Or even coupons for things like the movies or eating out or playing a game, etc.
I have even seen a string hung across the wall and then paper clips or clothes pins hold up papers or bags with the ideas or treasures.
