DIY : Twisty Tie Jar

This little idea (which came around because I was tired of picking up twisty ties every time we opened our silverware drawer) has been SOOOO nice to have in our kitchen! The jar is easy to make (and might be fun for you to do while your kids are making these cute lanterns) and will really help with a cute thing in your kitchen as well as creating a nice little organized holder.  (the picture of mine is very basic, since I haven’t decorated it yet).

This Twisty Tie Holder would also be fun little gifts for you to make and give with a homemade potholder or hand towel that hangs in the kitchen.

How to make your own Twisty Tie Jar:

Supplies:

Clean and empty baby food jar
scrapbooking paper
flowers, buttons, brads or other embellishments
glue dots or hot glue

Directions:

Take the clean and empty baby food jar and decorate the outside of the jar, completely cover the jar with the paper and then decorate the paper with the embellishments. Make it to fit your kitchen.  Once it’s all decorated, then take and put your twisty ties in horizontally, making sure they are smoothed/stretched out.

This is super easy and fun but looks great in your kitchen with the different colors and the cute decorated jar.
