Just to clarify, the Walmart scenario will not work (according to Walmart price match rules.) For Walmart to price match something, they must have the actual price, not a coupon. The reason is exactly as seen above… because Walmart already has it cheaper than Walgreens and thus would not be an actual “price match”.
