DisneyNature’s CHIMPANZEE is by far one of the best movies we have taken our kids to. I was nervous because we haven’t taken our kids to see a documentary type movie at the theater and I didn’t think they would sit through it. Boy was I wrong! Even my two-year old was glued to the screen from beginning to end. I was not sure what to expect, but they drew you into the movie and made you fall in love with this little chimp within a matter of minutes. There are some very intense parts, and my oldest daughter got a little nervous. She was able to follow the storyline very well. I was very touched by the relationship between Oscar and his mother Isha. I was glad I had my baby there to snuggle with, as it made me just want to hold all of my children “forever”. The movie gives you “warm fuzzies” 
It was done very well, and it is a movie that EVERYONE needs to see. Great Movie!
The movie is based on the life of a baby Chimpanzee named Oscar. It takes place in an African Rainforest and was filmed on location.

But when Oscar’s family is confronted by a rival band of chimpanzees, he is left to fend for himself until a surprising ally steps in and changes his life forever. Directed by Alastair Fothergill (“African Cats” and “Earth”) and Mark Linfield (“Earth”), and narrated by Tim Allen (ABC’s “Last Man Standing”), “Chimpanzee” swings into theaters on April 20, 2012, just in time for Earth Day.
